The "N" in "NASAMS" has a new meaning
[edit]It's now called "National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System". 00:10, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
Merge the two NASAMS articles?
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- Merged. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:54, 21 May 2018 (UTC) (non-admin closure)
Both of these articles are kind of short, especially the one about NASAMS 2, so maybe it would be better if we merged the two articles? 00:10, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- I agree. The producer (Kongsberg) does not separate between NASAMS 1 and NASAMS 2 on their website, so which country that have which version of the system can not be verified. Yosh3000 (talk) 21:28, 9 October 2016 (UTC)
- There is also a merge recommendation at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/NASAMS 2. Klbrain (talk) 08:32, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
first active radar
[edit]sorry but it's wrong. the 9M96E1 was produced first.

ARCS
[edit]What is "ARCS"? . --Best regards, Keysanger (what?) 19:05, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- what came to my mind was "Area Remote Control System" though that's just what my mind created when reading that hyphenation. kind of works though, as From the descripiton in the article it seem to be the control unit for the group of air defence the given NASAM unit is adhered to. wish someone who recently served, or otherwise in the know would give more info, as google is no friend on this. New orders
[edit]Are these new orders for NASAMS 2 or NASAMS. I see two different articles and I'm afraid those were mixed up.SojerPL (talk) 18:50, 1 April 2018 (UTC)

Questionable source
[edit]The source for the claim that a NASAMS 2 system is already in Ukraine is very questionable. It’s a website run by a self professed defence enthusiast, and the article about the NASAMS 2 system in Ukraine doesn’t provide any sources for where it got the information. 2A01:799:10DC:A600:E4DC:8E90:DE81:9BC3 (talk) 09:25, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
Placement of "NASAMS supports many missiles" seems unsuitable.
[edit]the placement "NASAMS supports many missiles" in the development section seems poor. I think it would be better in service history. EaterOfNightmares (talk) 16:36, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
Map of operators
[edit]The map needs an update as Ukraine has recieved Nasams. Znuddel (talk) 01:30, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
NASAMS in Chile
[edit]Chile has NASAMS 2 instead of NASAMS 1, someone should change the map of the operators of NASAMS 1, NASAMS 2 and NASAMS 3. Thanks and have a good day or night 201.219.234.137 (talk) 14:00, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
Correction in operators map
[edit]Hello, I ask the administrator to correct the world image that appears in the system operators area, since Chile does not have NASAMS 1 but rather NASAMS 2 with all the infrastructure. Darknessofhumanity (talk) 19:54, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
