Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)

A. Primarily deletions, reverts and enforcement of arbitration.

2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?

A. I've been working primarily to convert articles in DANFS to Wikipedia, which is scut-work to an extent. Although it is pleasing to see so many of the USN destroyers completed (I did most of the Wickes-class and the earlier small classes).

The articles I'm most pleased with are the ones that I've researched (usually online) and to which I either added significant portions or which I created from scratch. They include Asiatic Squadron, Asiatic Fleet, United States Fleet, Mediterranean Squadron. Also some links to and fro articles regarding the various ships and naval officers/sailors and their historical context. These links often identify connections that are not noted or highlighted in other reference work. Working on so many ship articles has allowed me to see those connections and then create them for others.

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and will deal with it in the future?

A. The worst conflict I've had was with Pedant and occurred back in November of 2004. I probably could have couched my responses in nicer terms. We discussed it extensively until it came to a draw where it remains. Since then, I've asked that such proposals be sent to the Projects page where others can comment on it as well. I plan to continue that course of action.
