Cleanup of external links
[edit]The "External links" section used to read like an advert board: "The First German MASK Website", "The biggest and most detailed MASK website", "Biggest and oldest MASK massage board", "The Ultimate M.A.S.K. Resource", even "Biggest MASK message board on the NET! Join today and chat with fans from all around the world." I removed the advertising-style descriptions. --AlexChurchill 17:07, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Clean-up?
[edit]Can someone outline what they think needs to be cleaned up? -- Lochaber 09:24, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
- Overall wikification, a less chatty tone in the section about theme songs, migration of the Vor-Tech information into its own article, and copyright info for the image. Stlemur 14:06, 12 September 2005 (UTC)

VOR-tech
[edit]Was trying to do a bit of a clean up there but I am unsure how to proceed on the Vor-tech thing... Was it actually a spin-off or more of a rip-off? -- Lochaber
- I think it might be POV to call it either; just start a "Vor-tech" article and say it bore a similarity to M.A.S.K. is probably safest. I'll do a pass through too when I get back later. Stlemur 17:23, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
Second Season
[edit]Are there 13 episodes (as indicated in the text) or ten (as listed)?Cyberia23 23:26, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
Un-wikifying
[edit]The links don't currently go to articles on the vehicles. That isn't a problem; if you want to write articles on "Rhino (M.A.S.K.)" or whatever go ahead, although in all likelihood they'll get merged back to this page anyway, but otherwise there's no reason to remove links just for removing's sake. - Stlemur 15:08, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
- I didn't do the original de-wikifying, but I agree with who started it that to wikify the "common names" seems redundant and unnecessary. So the vehicle is called "Firecracker" but a link to it's name isn't about the vehicle itself, but what it's anamed after, firecrackers, which have nothing to do with the article. Who the &#$@% cares? It's not what is being talked about. If you want to wikify everything how about "Jungle Challenge"? You need to link Jungle and Challenge separately, because by golly - I have no idea what either of those are! Cyberia23 17:48, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
- The vehicle's called "Switchblade" because it's got switchblade-like characteristics (for example). Meanwhile, what does having the extra links really take away from the article? - Stlemur 18:27, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
- Easier to read for one thing, however, I think thise who article could use a face lift. Perhaps use tables or something. Cyberia23 21:18, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

Can there be something better than the IGN link for the Reception listing? "many of the strengths ...while taking few of its flaws" is just copying what IGN said, but IGN didn't provide what any of the strengths or flaws are. I don't mind the IGN's rating number, but the rest really isn't sourced. MJ56003 (talk) 01:18, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Question about some character's names
[edit]I've noticed that there are two ways of writing some character's names:
Buddy Hawkes/Buddie Hawks, Jacques LeFleur/LaFleur, Bruno Shepard/Sheppard, etc. I myself always use the second option, because that's how they were spelt on the M.A.S.K. toy boxes, but I see the first ones so very often on the net. Were the names written like that in the comic books (I don't have them anymore), or are the first just wrongly spelt? Caudex Rax 16:02, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
Please check
[edit]Can anybody please check the grammar and spelling of the DVDs part I made for this article? I'm from the Netherlands, so English isn't my mother tongue. Thanks. Caudex Rax 03:40, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- Note that vaccuum should normally be spelt vacuum. But I can't tell if this mistake was intentional or not. -- NeilFraser 14:55, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:MASK Logo.JPG
[edit]Image:MASK Logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Choking hazard?
[edit]I remember that the masks on later toys looked dorkier because they were larger and holes in them. Was there ever a concern of a choking hazard? MMetro (talk) 09:44, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
All about MASK link
[edit]What´s the problem with a link to my website @ wikipedia??
It is the biggest website for M.A.S.K in the www.
Why the link canceled all the time?

"adopting few of their flaws"
[edit]From the article:
"They called it one of the most popular cartoon/toy marketing franchises of the eighties, and that it took many of the strengths of GI Joe and Transformers while taking few of their flaws."
Now what flaws might that be? Not specified in the article, but the actual sentence has a source attached pointing to a page over at IGN where this sentence can be found:
"The show was a weird kind of G.I. Joe-Transformers hybrid, but it managed to combine the best elements of those franchises while adopting few of their flaws."
IGN doesn't specify either what these so called flaws are. It's just fluff. 94.254.34.180 (talk) 19:24, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

Canadian connection?
[edit]I don't see why or how this series would be considered to have Canadian origins, as the infobox indicates as of today. It was apparently created and animated in Japan (says the text in the article), and IMBD says its countries of origin are Japan, France and USA. Some of the actors are Canadian, but that doesn't qualify as Canadian origin (we Canadians are everywhere, of course!) If there's evidence to support Canada as a country of origin for M.A.S.K. please let me know and add the information to the article. Otherwise, I think the WPCanada banner should be removed and the article corrected accordingly. Thanks, PKT(alk) 16:24, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- 3 1/2 weeks later, with no response. I'm going ahead with removing Canadian categories from the article and the WPCanada banner on this talk page. Regards, PKT(alk) 12:35, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- The end credits say "France-Canada Co-Production". Luigitehplumber (talk) 23:12, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
