Negative numbers

this is all wrong!

It fails to mention so many aspects of what 7th grade is all about. My students just finished argumentative essays, they are creating Instagrams to show character development, and they are always incorporating the arts into English assignments. This page needs to reflect the complexity of what 7th graders do! It's more than just reading, writing, and arithmetic. 7th grade students are usually 11-15 years old?

I didn't know that seventh grade students were usually 11-15 years old. I guess kids these days are so bad that they are repeating. --Alchaenist (talk) 03:47, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Proposed merge with Year Seven

Much of the content about the specific countries is already covered in the seventh grade article. There is no reason why they should be separate, even if they have a separate name. "Year 7" is mentioned in the seventh grade article and that is a more complete article. I would prefer not to implement this confusing merge because the numbers do not correspond in different systems. Rather than try to merge conflicting numbering systems, it would be preferable to redirect each number to a general article about the numbering system used (grade for the US and year for the UK) and to mention the regions where these systems are used. 7th grade is actually the 8th year of education in the US

7th grade is actually the 8th year of standard formal education in the US, as the first year is kindergarten, and 1st grade is the second year. Should we change the lead to reflect this? —Of the universe (say hello) 04:58, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
