The image is generated from a .cn3 file off the Pubmed Network and is not under copyright protection. If you wish I could generate the image my self off .cn3 file. BerserkerBen

The resulting files look reasonably different, so I suspect the generation does count as creating a copyrightable work. The second one you uploaded looks fine though. Could you tag it with the appropriate tag from Wikipedia:Image copyright tags? Thanks! --fvw* 22:40, 2004 Dec 16 (UTC)

Actually I can change the color, style and arangement of the model, it also depends on what modeling display program is used. But I do like hte advatage of Home made images, I made one for Image:Hemerythrin.jpg as well. BerserkerBen

Ben, it is not Wikipedia policy to create inline links to wiktionary articles, such as you did to steric in hemoglobin. Sometimes a further search on Wikipedia will give you the relevant information. Thanks for finding Image:Soviet RTG.jpg, it's great to have a picture of it. But could you please indicate the source and why you think it's a public domain picture? That sites credits the picture to the "Finnmark region government" as a government provided image or information its is open to public domain, but sure that site is the secondary source, credit it as well. --BerserkerBen 18:45, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

It's just not true that government-created images are public domain! For example, everything created by the Canadian government is under Crown copyright, which is in particular not free enough for inclusion in Wikipedia (except for fair use). In fact, the only exceptions I know of are the US Federal government, and the government of the state of California. Other state governments do not release their material as public domain. What about them? Unless you have reason to think they release everything into the public domain, we can't assume they do. For general copyright law, essentially every country is a signatory to the Berne convention so it's enforced, albeit with enough minor differences to be a total morass. BTW, I emailed bellona to try to clarify whether we actually have nay rights to the picture at all (other than possible fair use). --Andrew 05:15, Mar 23, 2005 (UTC)

You pre-empted a plan of mine in moving Silicon-based and Ammonia-based out of Extraterrestrials and suggesting morphology in its place. I don't know there are a lot of speculation on what alien biosphere would be like, with such variables as surface gravity, sunlight, planetary orbit, planetary tilt, ect, not just in sci-fi heck you can watch national geographic or science channel and occasionally come upon a program that covers all the weird possibility in 3d graphics. --BerserkerBen 03:15, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

Gravity effects are certainly a main point of speculation as they apply not just to aliens but potentially to ourselves on Mars etc. The problem with including too much of that stuff on the Extraterrestrial page is that its hard to distinguish between "good speculation" and junk or between on-topic hypotheses and tangents. Alien biospheres is logically its own topic, for instance. I'd suggest sticking with short, cogent sub-links whenever a particular issue needs clarification rather than getting lost in diversions on the main page; just added Back-contamination for instance. HAV prototype and charged armor

The HAV link you put in leads to a disambiguation page that has nothing to do with tanks or AFVs. I did several Google searches with several variations of several terms (the funniest of them was a Google image search with the words HAV, tank, and design since it gave me t-shirts for pretty ladies) and could not find anything relevant. Could you spell out the acronym or give more info or cite your sources (as we are all supposed to do in Wikipedia, in theory) so that we can copyedit and add more? Same thing for your paragraph: "Other proposals uses a layered charged armor powered by a capacitor under neither standard armor: penetration of the standard armor by a shaped charge results in a massive discharging of the electricity from the charged armor into the incoming jet of explosive gas/plasma this disrupts its flow and direction, also the electric discharge can vaporize molten metal used in some shape charges to increase penetration." With the sources we could understand what is going on, otherwise it isn't clear if you are saying that the capacitor is under standard armor or not, or that standard armor is not involved at all. --AlainV 00:13, 14 September 2005 (UTC)

Sorry I'm pretty sure I miss-acronym it, I was looking for the proper acronym and place HAV (for Heavy Armour Vehicle in conjunction with the MAV as a temporary acronym when I was writing it and gathering sources, and forget to change it, in the report http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/news/1997/5fcs97.pdf it is mentioned as FCS (Future Combat Systems) and the [http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/fcs.htm FCS) site on FAS states the specific tank design as “US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command's future land combat system vehicle” aaaaaah I don’t think that can be acronymed (UATaACflcs?) here is as quote:

The US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command's future land combat system vehicle is a 40-ton concept based on evolutionary tank design and technology which pushes the two-person crew down and forward into the hull with a remote turret. I love this and it works great on the page. However, it would be even better if the oxygen binding to the iron were shown as something other than just a stick. We have a new newsletter!
As you've no doubt noticed, there's a new Molecular and Cellular Biology Wikiproject newsletter, which will be sent out about once a month to all WP:MCB members. This newsletter is designed to perform two equally important functions. Firstly (and obviously, perhaps) it will serve to inform the members of the MCB project of such things as important discussions, votes, and article improvement drives. Molecular and Cellular Biology Wikiproject Newsletter

The project main page has gotten a facelift!
When people visit the project, the very first thing that they see tends to be the project's main page, and with this in mind, the main page has been completely overhauled. To enhance readability the various "goals" sections have been merged, and a detailed "how you can help" section has been added. To increase accessibility for more established members, the links to any resources that were in the main body text have been moved onto the navigation bar on the right. Finally, the whole page has been nicely laid out and given a nice attractive look.
New project feature: peer review
I'm proud to announce the addition of out newest feature: peer review! The MCB peer review feature aims serve as a stepping stone to improve articles to featured article status by allowing editors to request the opinions of other members about articles that they might not otherwise see or contribute to.

The article worklist
We’ve had quite a bit of progress on the worklist article in the past month. Not only has the list itself nearly doubled in size from 143 to 365 entries, but an amazing three articles have been advanced to FA status, thanks in great part to the efforts of our very own TimVickers! Remember, the state of the worklist is the closest thing we have to quantifying the progress of the project, so if you get the chance, please take a look at the list, pick a favorite article, and improve it!
Collaboration of the Month
Last month's Collaboration of the Month, cell nucleus, was a terrific success! In one month, the article went from a dismal stub to an A-class article. Many thanks to all of the collaborators who contributed, especially ShaiM, who took on the greatest part of the burden. This month's Collaboration of the Month, adenosine triphosphate, isn't getting nearly the attention of its predecessor, so if you can, please lend a hand!

The project has a new coordinator, ClockworkSoul! If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. When the image was posted it was tag acceptably to the standards then, the standards have changed and since your spending the time to find these images and post notices you could vary well just make up the tag your self. Just post a blank tag like this:

Please help save Repo Man movie article

Hi Ben,

This guy, Dædαlus, is in there trying to remove parts that you, I and many others contributed to the Repo Man article. Please add to the bottom of this thread on the Repo Man talk page that you think the "Notable Motifs" section should not be blanked (erased), but left as is since the Pulp Fiction article also has a "Notable Motifs" section that isn't being considered for removal at all (even by Dædαlus himself).

While I agree that the "Notable Motifs" section could use some work, it certainly won't help the article to delete the whole thing and erase all our work which consists of many multiple contributers over a course of years. I'm willing to work on it and better incorporate it into the article, he just wants to delete it all!

With consensus, we can stop this guy from deleting all our work soon!

It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! While these may be correct, given that FH will utilize the Merlin 1D, there is nowhere in the article where the numbers are claimed, or supported by citations, so we should not add them to the infobox without either citations, or where they repeat something sourced in the article body.
