Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Steven Lewis Akins

See Talk:Clan Akins. This guy is an American who somehow seems to think he has the right to the chieftainship of Clan Akins. The legal authorities in Scotland don't think so. This has been ruled upon and decided, and, under Scottish law, his continuing claim to the chieftainship is grounds for criminal action. I'm in two minds here. I vote to delete the present article since it's a pure vanity piece. However if the article actually talked about the forgery of wills and so forth which he is alleged to have undertaken to prop up his claims to the chieftancy, it might create quite an interesting article which I would vote to keep. -- Derek Ross | Talk 05:25, 2004 Aug 25 (UTC)
- That would certainly be better than the current vanity but would the controversy still be notable in 10 years? If not (and I'm inclined to think not based on the evidence available), delete. Rossami 22:59, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
