There has been many adjustments and policies developed to help support music education within the school programs (Mihailidis, 2013, p. 21). The music curriculum is consistently being reviewed to help adapt to the dynamic nature of the music community and push young individuals to succeed (Merkley, 2009). In 2008 the music curriculum policy was revised to develop a better music education program within the schools and issue much needed funding where required.
