[edit]I cleaned up a badly written, un-wikified segment about the parody of Sunoco in Cars that was below the template. It had problems with wiki formatting, grammar, and placement. I have since changed the segment to "References to Sunoco in popular culture", with the same parody. It's also better formatted and wikified. -TrackerTV 20:46, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Noco
[edit]I have seen Sunoco gas stations branded as "Noco" instead, should it be mentioned? --66.67.187.203 20:40, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Noco is a different company. http://www.noco.com/[Special:Contributions/72.37.171.60|72.37.171.60]] (talk) 17:08, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
Technology Development and Commercialization
[edit]An important aspect of Sunoco/Sun Company is ignored in this article. Sun Company developed, and codeveloped a number of technologies in its laboratories at Marcus Hook, PA related to production of chemicals and fuels and commercialized and in-licensed or out-licensed others. Since a few of these technologies are precedent-setting in the history of refinery and petrochemical technology development, at least a sampling should be enumerated in this article or aignificant patent references provided.Scion Tist (talk) 01:43, 25 May 2016 (UTC)
- One of these is a gasolines was known as DX Boron. I cannot find any information on Wikipedia about this. There are a number of YouTube '50's commericals about this product. Sun Company claimed that Boron was used in Rockets, and that they incorporated this product in their gasoline. There was a Morgan Silver Dollar coin I say today advertising DX Boron on the encasement. I cannot find any Wikipedia article talking about this gasoline. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8g2xpzr7UA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP8v4lTP54U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nP-o2uuH-k Easeltine (talk) 16:12, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

Article Correction: 10.27.22
[edit]I am looking to make the appropriate corrections within the Environmental Record section. The first two paragraphs under that header apply to Sunoco Logistics. Sunoco Logistics Partner LP (SXL) is a different company than Sunoco LP (SUN) which this page is for. And they trade separately on the stock exchange.
Sunoco Logistics was sold in 2012 and is an entirely separate company under Energy Transfer. Information below.
The first two paragraphs (2017 and 2016 history) are applicable to Sunoco Logistics and should not live on the Sunoco (SUN) page. Mgdoscher (talk) 22:07, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
