Creation

[edit]

Due to overflow, I have moved here the following material from Renewable energy: 1 The renewable energy movement

1 Renewable energy today 2 Renewable energy use by nation 3 Renewable energy controversies 3.1 Lack of motivation for funding

4 Renewable energy support mechanisms 4.1 Tariff mechanisms 4.2 Quota mechanisms 4.3 Contract bidding mechanisms 4.4 Production tax credits

I copied also, w/o change: 5 External links 6 References MGTom 20:34, 2005 Feb 2 (UTC)

There are two entries for US in geothermal in the list of leading electricity producers

Renewable energy utilisation by nation

[edit]

THe US is listed 1st and 3rd - what is the rationale for this? Sources for the table would also be useful. Gardar Rurak 05:59, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merging

[edit]

I know this page was created due to overflow from Renewable Energy but IMO the history and renewable energy today sections would be excellent replacements for much of the intro to the original Renewable Energy Article. Contributors please comment! --Huggsy 00:46, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Environmental technology template

I'd like to replace the Environmental technology template with one that matches the standard navbox style, i.e. horizontal instead of vertical, collapsing and typically placed at the bottom of article pages. I've done a mock up of what this would look like at {{User:Jwanders/ET}}. Figured this was a big enough change that I should post before going ahead with it. Please discuss here--jwandersTalk 22:03, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Out of place?

[edit]

Under the major heading "Renewable energy support mechanisms," there is an article at the very end labeled "Energy generating products" that goes into some detail about a new technology for extracting energy from the impact on the knees while walking. I found it to be quite interesting, but this seems like a strange place for this information. I am rather new to Wikipedia, so I am hesitant to edit this myself (especially, since I can't immediately come up with an article this would fit into), so I will leave that to one of the maintainers of this page (or the original poster). I just thought it might be helpful to point it out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Phlict (talkcontribs) 13:59, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
