Respell

Something seems to be off with one of the respelled options: RAP-pel is incongruous with the attached /ræˈpɛl/, that is, the stress is on the first syllable in the respell and on the second in the IPA script. Also, as I am not a native English speaker and did not find this on Merriam-Webster–does anyone pronounce RAPpel instead of rapPEL? כרסומת (talk) 21:14, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
