This article is written in Australian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, realise, program, labour (but Labor Party)) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

Reference to nickname "Australian Congress"

Younger generations of Australians also refer to Parliament as "Congress" occasionally, similar to the US terminology. Should we add a reference to this colloquialism? 203.46.132.214 (talk) 02:53, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nor do I. I work in a high school, amd have never heard that usage. If it's used at all, it would be rare. It would need good sourcing for us to mention it. HiLo48 (talk) 04:01, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This could be a good idea, however Wikipedia only includes information that is verifiable in published sources. If this terminology starts cropping up in reliable sources, then feel free to add it though. Safes007 (talk) 07:57, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
