User talk:SayCheese
Please read below. I should remember to you that:
- I'm not racist, and I report musical genres according to their styles in appearance, not judging by personal opinions;
- due to similar discussions, I could risk to be banned from here.
--Egr 16:40, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Now I wanna discuss with you seriously and without any personal attack:
- please read here
- though LP themselves claim to play alternative rock, even they could fail; you should know better than me that all of the Xero Sampler Tape tracks, 5 songs from Hybrid Theory EP, 7 songs from Hybrid Theory, 8 songs from Meteora and most of their collaborations/b-sides ("Dedicated", "Standing In The Middle", "It's Goin' Down", "QWERTY") are rapcore and/or hip hop
- songs like "One Step Closer", "Runaway", "Don't Stay" and "Numb" are maybe too obtrusive to be regarded as "alternative rock" (this definition can probably be valid only for "Breaking The Habit" and instrumental tracks)
--Egr 15:18, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Do you really think so? And then answer here again, please:
- what is alt rock in their music, maybe the influences from bands such as Aphex Twin or Depeche Mode?
- do you know seriously what is the difference between an emcee and a simple rap vocalist?
--Egr 13:15, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Also using electronic effects is typical of most other nu metal/rapcore bands. --Egr 15:27, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Have you misconcepted me as a retarded? I know much better than you that songs such as "Breaking The Habit", "Nobody's Listening", "Cure For The Itch", "Session" (and the rap-devoid singles, perhaps) aren't nu metal. And IMHO "rapcore" is much less redundant than nu metal. --Egr 17:33, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- to be trully honest LP don't really fall into one genre, each song sounds a little bit different, which is what i love about them - and thers really no point in placing them into genre's anyway - but if you had to, you could just make up a new one like.....rapcore metal???? lol, be creative.......--168.224.1.14 12:21, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Phill
Spamming Issues
[edit]I've talked it out with the user, he agreed to stop after I have him a final warning via {{spam4}}. We worked out the issues, I'm fairly sure it will not happen again. If anything like that happens report again, report it to WP:AIV (for vandalism) or WP:ANI (for bending other WP Policies) Hope that helps :) -- ShadowJester07 ►Talk 04:26, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Bennington discrepancies
[edit]I've come across various sources that suggest different things about Bennington's children. ExpoSay claims that Jamie is ten [1], while ContactMusic claims he's four.[2] On top of that, Celebwonder is claiming that his son his born to his second wife. Not that I'm doubting your claim, but where did you get your sources from? It seems like everyone is saying something different :p --►ShadowJester07 16:30, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Alright. Thanks for the help. --►ShadowJester07 19:48, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Wikimania in Atlanta!
[edit]Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!
P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 09:32, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Hybrid Theory (EP)
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Hybrid Theory (EP). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hybrid Theory (EP) (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:07, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
