Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Xydexx. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Furry fandom, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See WP:PAID.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. I notice several links that were once on the article had a domain that matched your username. Would you like to declare a connection based on this? Jalen D. Folf (talk) 20:01, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Jalen!
I was recently made aware that my website (which is linked to from Wikipedia) is not mobile-friendly/compatible, so I have been taking the necessary steps to remedy this. Ultimately this resulted in spending the day revamping the entire site, and I wanted to be sure the pages linked from Wikipedia went to the updated URLs as needed. So yes, there's a connection, but I'm not really making content changes, merely updating the URLs to the references as necessary so they don't end up with a 404 error. Hope this clarifies. Let me know if you need more information. Xydexx (talk) 01:49, 22 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
